Behavioral Neuroscience The Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience is geared toward educating students on the complexities of the human brain and how it enables behavior and cognition. The program reflects current trends in the field of Behavioral Neuroscience through its emphasis on the scientific study of psychological processes and through the inclusion of recent trends and practice. Students have a variety of opportunities to become directly involved in ongoing research and participate in our active student organizations. Many students pursue the B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience in preparation for graduate or professional training in psychology, medicine, or research. Biomedical Engineering The Biomedical Engineering (BME) program is leading the State in Biomedical Engineering education. It is the only department in the nation offering an accredited undergraduate degree in BME at a Minority and Hispanic serving institution. Biomedical Engineering weaves a strong life science foundation with multidisciplinary engineering fundamentals for investigating and understanding living system using quantitative assessment tools, engineering living systems, and developing novel biomedical sensors and devices. The objective of the undergraduate program is to produce graduates that continue in advanced study in engineering, medicine or the sciences and/or professional practice as a biomedical engineer in industry.
